1. Hindu Universe is available to all for creating positive Hindu theme based web pages.

2. Hindu Universe is available to all for communicating their thoughts and opinions on the Forums.

3. Hindunet will be the final arbitrator of what is positive Hindu presentation

Please refrain from using your account for the following activities:

1. Hindu Universe is a kid safe web site. Displaying material containing nudity or pornographic material of any kind;
2. Providing material that is grossly offensive to the online community, including blatant expressions of bigotry, prejudice, racism, hatred;
3. No profanity is allowed on Hindu Universe
4. Promoting or providing instructional information about illegal activities, promoting physical harm or injury against any group or individual, or promoting any act of cruelty to animals;

   This includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:

   • Providing instructions on how to assemble bombs, grenades and other weapons;
   • Disseminating personal information about another individual
   • Creating "Crush" sites;
   • Providing computer software viruses or software designed to create a virus;
   • Providing satellite TV cracks;
   • Providing programs to "nuke" or create a denial of service attack against another individual or ISP;
   • Facilitating the delivery of "spam" e-mail;
   • Soliciting passwords from other members.

5. Committing acts of copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other intellectual property infringement;

   This includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:

   • Providing pirated computer programs or links to such programs
   • Providing information used to circumvent manufacturer-installed copy-protect devices, including serial or registration numbers for software programs;
   • Providing any type of cracker utility;
   • Providing pirated music or links to such files.

8. Using your home page (or directory) as storage for remote loading or as a door or signpost to another home page, whether inside or beyond Hindu Universe;
9. Developing home pages or session posts that consist of hyperlinks to content not allowed in Hindu Universe;
10. Using Hindu Universe for the purpose of gathering personal identifying information from individuals for commercial or unlawful purposes;
11. Posting or disclosing any personal identifying information belonging to children [Kids: For your safety, please do not put your real name, address, phone number, e-mail address or other personal identifying information on your Personal Home Page or give it to strangers];
12. Violating Internet standards for the purpose of promoting your home page;
13. Engaging in commercial activities

    This includes, but is not limited to, the following activities:

    • Offering for sale any products or services;
    • Soliciting for advertisers or sponsors;
    • Conducting raffles or contests that require any type of entry fee;
    • Displaying a sponsorship banner of any kind, including those that are generated by banner or link exchange services, with the sole exceptions of the Internet Link Exchange;
    • Displaying banners for services that provide cash or cash-equivalent prizes to users in exchange for hyperlinks to their websites;
    • Promoting, soliciting or participating in multilevel marketing or pyramid schemes.

    • Participating in any webring program other than those offered by Hindunet

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any page from the system which is brought to our attention and which we find, in our sole discretion, violates any of these page content guidelines or otherwise is in violation of the law.

Members who are in violation of the Hindu Universe Content Guidelines or Terms of Service may have their membership revoked, services cancelled and their pages, or portions of their pages, suspended or removed without warning, in which event Hindu Universe will not return the removed pages or website to the offending member.

Hindu Universe is not responsible or liable for any loss of data resulting from our deletion of Personal Home Pages, network or system outages, file corruption or any other reasons. We urge all members to maintain backup versions of their home pages to guard against losses of any kind.
