Abrahamic faiths are autocratic (God insists his is the only way, you disagree and you go to Hell); Hinduism is a democratic faith (There are several ways to reach God, all paths lead to the same God, there is no such thing as Hell, because God is not a torturer, not a Saddam Husain! God can use better means than physical pain). This is the reason why Muslim Pakistan and Hindu India took such divergent paths after independence. They refer to God as a king or master(making them subjects, servants or slaves), we view God as a parent or teacher. They fear God, whereas Hindus have never been taught to fear any of our Gods, even Durga is referred to as Mother Durga. They talk about being born in sin, whereas we believe that a divine spark exists in all of us. Muslims feel compelled to go down on their knees when they pray, a Hindu should never kneel before God. They teach that you have but one life, whereas a Hindu is born many times. They segregate their heavens, whereas Rama's heaven is open to all good souls, even atheists! Mother Teresa may have no room in her heaven for us, but we will welcome her into ours any day. Disrespect of other faiths is common in christianity, whereas we are taught to respect all faiths. If the Buddha had been born in Europe in the Middle Ages, he would have been tortured and killed, and there would be no Buddhism today! While Christian Europe and Muslim Middle East gave birth to one faith each, Hindu India is a polyglot of every religion found on earth! Persecuted people like the Jews, Parsees, Bohras, and recently the Tibetans found safe refuge in Hindu India! They say God is a male, Hinduism says God is both male and female and neither!
They teach that the earth is 5,000 years old(any older and man would start looking like a Neanderthal, ugly, brutish, dirty, smelly, unkempt, with bad yellow teeth & ape-like – this is the image of God?), Hinduism says that the earth is 10 billion years old! They talk about judgement day, when billions of non-christians will be put to death, putting Hitler to shame, whereas God Vishnu's 10th Avatar, Kalki, will put an end to evil, Hindu or not, and she will do it without harming anyone. Science tells us that one day our universe might cease to exist, Hinduism teaches us the there will be and always has been new Brahma's who create new worlds!
